Everest Base Camp trekking is one of Nepal's most popular treks & starts with a short scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The trek begins at Lukla & takes you through the Khumbu region & then into Sagarmatha National Part. The main attraction of this trek is to see the highest mountain in the world, Mt Everest (8848mt) & to trek to Everest Base Camp. During the trek you will have the opportunity to see spectacular Himalayan views of Lhotse, Makalu, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Kangtega & other mountains. The Khumbu region offers a diverse landscape where you can expect to see unique flora & fauna, glaciers & stunning panoramic views. Cross several suspension bridges with views of the river below. Experience the culture & hospitality of the Sherpa people. Explore the oldest monastery in Pangboche & the highest monastery in Tengbuche. The upper section of the Khumbu region is dominated by the glaciers & rocky moraines. On reaching Gorakshep, the last village on the trek, you will then hike to Everest Base Camp (5364m). The following day a hike to Kalapatthar (5554m) will reward you with spectacular sunrise views over the Himalayan peaks.
Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel
Day 02:Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding (2652)
Day 03:Trek to Namche Bazaar (3446m)
Day 04:Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar (3446m). A rest day & exploration of the bustling Sherpa town. Visit the museum or hangout in one of the popular bakeries.
Day 05:Trek to Tengboche (3802m).
Day 06:Trek to Dingboche (4410m)
Day 07:Acclimatization day at Dingboche. Relax & enjoy a day of rest.
Day 08:Trek to Lobuche (4930m)
Day 09:Trek to Gorak Shep (5140m) & trek to Everest Base Camp (5364m)
Day 10:Trek to Kala Pattar (5554m) & back to Pheriche (4243m)
Day 11:Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Day 12:Trek to Lukla (2840m)
Day 13:Fly back to Kathmandu (1300m) & transfer to hotel.
Day 14:Depart for ongoing destination or flight out
